We mainly fish for walleye in Lake Oologah. This lake has some really nice sized fish. Over the past years I have only caught 3 that were undersized. I would say we run a 3lb average  In fact the current lake record came off my boat. Her fish was 7.5lbs 27.75 in long. ​Jo Anna caught it while using her favorite rallying spot with purple lips. Thats her secret bait that I just let out. 
My Sooner lake saugeye trips are very productive. I need three people to go because it's a long drive for me. It's worth it and I love going there. I can guarantee you will catch saugeye and white perch on Sooner trips.

Walleye and saugeye are some of the best eating fish in Oklahoma. I think that is an undisputed fact. The limit is 6 per person per day. We start fishing for them in May until July. Our method is usually trolling with crank-baits. Bottom bouncing with spinners on lake Sooner. If I discover a better way or different time of year to catch them I'll dang sure do it. However for now this is my methods.
